This guide explains how to create and manage campaigns in Lystica.
Step 1: Create a Contact List
Before creating a campaign, you need to have a list of contacts to send your campaign to.
- Navigate to Dashboard > Contact Lists section.
- Click on the "Create New List" button.
- Fill in the contact list details:
- Name: Give your list a descriptive name (e.g., "Marketing Leads Q3", "Tech Executives")
- Description (optional): Add details about what this list is for
- Search and select contacts to add to your list:
- Use the search bar to find specific contacts by name, email, or company
- Check the box next to each contact you want to include
- You can see your selected contacts at the bottom of the page
- Click "Create Contact List" to save your list
Step 2: Create a Campaign
Once you've created at least one contact list, you can create a campaign to send to those contacts.
- Navigate to Dashboard > Campaigns section.
- Click on the "Create New Campaign" button.
- Fill in the campaign details:
- Campaign Name: A name to identify this campaign
- Email Subject Line: The subject line that recipients will see
- Select your audience:
- Choose "Contact List" as the audience type
- Select the contact list you created earlier from the dropdown
- If you need to create a new list, click the "Create New List" button
- After creating a new list, click the "Refresh" button to update the dropdown
- You'll see a preview of the selected contacts
- Create your email content:
- Use the email editor to compose your message
- You can format text, add images, buttons, etc.
- Review your campaign details
- Click "Create Campaign" to save the campaign
Step 3: Review and Send Your Campaign
After creating your campaign:
- Review all campaign details on the campaign details page
- When you're ready, click "Send Now" to send immediately, or schedule the campaign for later
Tips
- You can create a new contact list directly from the campaign creation page by clicking the "Create New List" button
- Always preview your campaign before sending to ensure formatting looks correct
- Test your email with different email clients if possible
- Use descriptive campaign names to easily identify them later
Best Practices
Subject Lines
- Keep subject lines under 50 characters
- Avoid spam trigger words
- Make them specific and actionable
Email Content
- Use clear and concise language
- Include a clear call-to-action
- Optimize for mobile devices
- Include an unsubscribe link
Timing
- Send emails during business hours for B2C campaigns
- Avoid sending on Mondays and Fridays if possible
- Test different send times to optimize open rates
Troubleshooting
Can't see my contact list?
Make sure you've created at least one contact list and it contains contacts. Click the "Refresh" button to update the dropdown.
Campaign not sending?
Check that your email settings are configured correctly in the Studio section and that you have valid SMTP credentials.
